#KWENTONGISKWAD: OUR TREASURED FIRST

Experiencing the firsts with our iskwad will always be more memorable. We always remember those first hangouts, first meal, or our first photo together. We create memories with our iskwad every day, for memories are made to be reminisced.

A plan in August finally took place in September as Sailor Warriors celebrates one of their ka-iskwad’s birthdays. Carl, Migs, Tetel, Maiyah, Jjumie, JR and Kervin had their time of their lives on their first out of town trip in Batangas. Carl recalled how they planned to see each other at 3 AM but like the usual iskwad, call times are for losers.“Mga 2:45 pa lang umalis na kami ni JR papunta na kami kila Tetel, noong nandoon na kami tulog pa din sila, so ginising naming ang mga bruha” Carl narrated.

After waiting for around 4 hours of land travel, the group decided to fill their tummies. They also bought some groceries for their short stay. Sailor Warriors spent their whole day in the beach; feeling the salty sea breeze, bathing on cold waters, and catching small crabs

Wala kaming ibang ginawa noong araw na iyon, naligo lang kami, Migs said. Walang gaanong activity sa dagat kundi lumangoy lang pero since sila yung kasama ko mas nakakaenjoy, Carl added.

The night was filled with laughter and stories as the group shared bottles of alcohol. Everyone was in full spirit, pouring liquors onto their glasses while reminiscing moments of their lives. They ate, drank, and giggled the whole night as if they are on their own planet sharing that precious time with their most favorite people.

In the morning, even though a little tired, Sailor Warriors decided to enter the cave at Matutunggil Point which was recommended by Migs who was used to that place. The group enjoyed the scenery, took several photos worth treasuring. They even had Top Model inspired photos with their confident poses which made the whole iskwad burst of laughter.

“Di ko na alam yung nangyayari basta alam ko ang saya saya lang namin.”

It was that happiness that no one can give, but only when you’re with your iskwad that made them feel complete.

Sailor Warriors left Batangas, wanting to extend to their stay while missing the sea and slowly going back to reality. They talked about their futures, own relationships, and life plans. They shared stories worth listening and moments worth remembering. That time, it seemed like there are no other iskwad in the world, but only theirs. Sailor Warriors have now kept something that they’ll surely miss.
