Thanks to social media because you can still meet with your friends and make fun plans for your next travel or excursion, without leaving your home or your working place using the Facebook events and groups is the answer in today’s hectic and fast paced world. Because not everyone has the time to spend a couple of hours in a restaurant or café with their friends, by making a virtual meeting place you all can make plans and share ideas for your trip. Also, you can all you use Facebook’s group chat.

ASSIGN SOMEONE TO LEAD AND GIVE UPDATES

You’re going to need someone to be the ringleader whether you’re traveling with five people or a dozen of your friends. He/she should take on the majority of the planning. The larger your barkada the more important it is to raise hands and vote for a leader for your barkada trip. It’s fun to include other’s in the decision making but to be more organized you don’t want eight (8) or more making twenty (20) plus different trip reservations or dinner reservation right?

CREATE A CLEAR CHANNEL OF COMMUNICATION

Demonstrating a clear channel of communication will be very advantageous to your barkada since it diminishes the tension that can result from cancelling the trip of the whole barkada. Saying something as simple as “if there’s anything bothering you during the planning process, please don’t hesitate to tell me” can have a big influence on your barkada’s attitude and morale.

CREATE CHOICES

Using your Facebook group, create and poll the members of your barkada to know where and when to travel. Offer 3 or 5 specific options instead of asking open-ended questions, these things are to be done to make things simple.

DO YOUR RESEARCH

It’s time for you to move on to the next phase of your barkada getaway planning experience which is researching. Every member of your barkada joining the trip has to make contribution from the transportation and accommodations, the whole barkada must gather information on each facet of the trip.

CONSIDER GROUP-FRIENDLY GETAWAYS

Try a lot of travel packages tailored for people who are traveling with a big group of friends for all of you to have a hassle-free excursion.

MAKE AN ITINERARY

Everyone needs an itinerary when traveling so you can be aware of the expenses you will do during the trip. The person who makes the itinerary will most likely sum up the groups budget range. Traveling with your barkada will also lessen the expenses you will use because of discounts and divisions.

SET A BUDGET RANGE

The next thing you have to do is to set a budget range after picking the destination of your iskwad adventure. Give time to others who are having a hard time to make the budget. Everyone must cooperate from what is planned and if there are any concerns about having trouble making a budget for yourself, you should share your concerns so you can all adjust to the changes smoothly.

HAVE SOME ISKWAD FUND

Creating a barkada fund for joint expenses like island hopping tours and transportations is a good practice. Everyone should chip in the same amount, prior to the trip. Any extra money from the barkada fund can be allocated equally at the end of the trip.
